Elites

Elites

Elites are the most powerful characters in their respective communities. They are faction leaders, and as such direct the overall strategy of their faction in the game.

This page gives an overview of the current list of elites, their beliefs and their goals. Some of them are invisible NPCs, others are player characters.

Cesare Borgia
President, Night Council
Marquess of Islington, Islington Nest
Age: 541
Vampire
Alliances
Supports: Night Council, Islington Nest, Circle Daybreak

Neutral: Fae, meta humans, shapeshifters

Against: Werewolves, Redbright Institute
Goals
Cesare's primary goal is to retain the power that he's acquired. In order to do that, he needs to keep London and its supernatural community stable and in a good condition. As such, he'll encourage prosperity and peaceful negotiations through political discussion rather than bloodshed. He'll try to avoid any major rebellions that might upset the system as it's currently known. If change is inevitable, though, he'll ultimately act in whatever way benefits him personally the most.
Notes: Despite his fairly sordid past, Cesare is pitching himself as an honourable and conscientious leader. Whatever unsavoury things you heard about him are either grossly outdated or outright lies. At least, that's what he'll claim. He was elected as President in June 2017, following the Millicent Scandal that forced the previous President to resign (a matter that Cesare had no small hand in).

Peter Vrinak
Vice President, Night Council
Barnes Coven Leader, Circle Daybreak
Age: 54
Witch
NPC
Alliances
Supports: Witches, Circle Daybreak, Night Council, Redbright Institute, Islington Nest (nominally)

Neutral: Ghosts, humans, meta humans

Against: Fae, shapeshifters, vampires, werewolves
Goals
Though privately disdainful and even prejudiced against almost all species except witches and "real" humans, Peter Vrinak has nevertheless risen through the ranks of the Night Council through his canny political sense and personal connections. He maintains an outward appearance of cordiality toward the Islington Nest and is carefully polite to almost everyone he meets in public, but if the 'bloodsuckers and subhumans' all disappeared tomorrow, he wouldn't shed a tear. Believes in a London for humans -- in particular, for witches.
Notes: Allergic to werewolf fur. Was Witch Representative until December 2015, when he made a political move to stab the then Vice President (Dee) in the back and get himself appointed as Vice President.

Samantha Okeke
Witch Representative, Night Council
Mother of Witches, Circle Daybreak
Age: 31
Witch
NPC
Alliances
Supports: Witches

Neutral: Hillingdon Clan, ghosts, werewolves, meta humans, shapeshifters

Against: Seelie/Unseelie Court, Islington Nest, Redbright Institute
Goals
Her ultimate goal is to make witches the truly dominant force in the city. She believes that witches by right should develop their full potential, which includes harnessing the power of other supernatural creatures. With that in mind she has encouraged witches to once more seek out fae servants and familiars.
Notes: Previously a High Priestess in Manchester, Samantha returned home to London shortly before she became Mother of Witches in January 2017, following Sylvia Redbright's retirement. Many of her ideas about witchcraft are radically different from Sylvia's, and given her young age it's expected that she will shape the future direction of British witchcraft for many years to come. She has big ambitions and the will to see them through no matter what. She is a single mother with a five-year old son named Anthony. On 2nd May 2017, she also joined the Night Council as Witch Representative.

Yasmine Merad
Shapeshifter & Meta Human Representative, Night Council
Head of Science, Redbright Institute
Age: 37
Shapeshifter
NPC
Alliances
Supports: Shapeshifters and meta humans in general. She supports witches publicly, but privately resents them.

Neutral: Ghosts, werewolves

Against: Fae, vampires, witches in private
Goals
Yasmine's goals are simple. First, to make London a safer place for all by restricting the privileges of the fae, vampires, and other unruly beings. Second, to end the reign of witches and make the Night Council a more inclusive faction. And if that means having a shapeshifter as president, well, Yasmine's happy to take on that role.
Notes: She can shapeshift into a panther, and retains the agility and stealth of a panther in her human form.

John Cooper
Vampire Representative, Night Council
Marquess of Hackney, Islington Nest
Age: 235
Vampire
NPC
Alliances
Supports: Islington Nest, Redbright Institute, and Night Council

Neutral: Circle Daybreak, East End Pack, and Hillingdon

Against: Fae
Goals
Cooper is interested in improving the vampire's fallen and shoddy reputation. Vampires can seem very haughty, vain, and unapproachable, so he wants to dispel that image. He wants to show that vampires don't just view the rest of the supernatural world, especially humans, as a bunch of blood bags. He also wants vampires to get along, at least superficially, with more of the other factions then they have in the past. This is a bit at odds with his personal standards, which tend to support aggressive territory claims of the Nest. On a more personal note, Cooper wants to see stricter rules that come with turning a human into a vampire beyond those that are already in place.
Notes: Cooper's an eternal teenager and tends to act like it. Impetuous, annoying, and with a short temper, he nonetheless tends to gravitate towards guiding younger supernatural types that haven't found their feet. He was once second-in-command of a nest in America, but left for reasons he doesn't like to talk about. He became Vampire Representative in January 2017 following the first democratic election in the history of the Islington Nest.

Jean-Claude
Duke of London Central, Islington Nest
Age: 629
Vampire
NPC
Alliances
Supports: Islington Nest, Night Council

Neutral: Fae*, Hillingdon*, Redbright, Circle Daybreak, East End Pack.

Against: Technically, no one.
Goals
One of the older vampires in the city, Jean-Claude is pragmatic and calculating. In the aftermath of Raymond's assassination he is seeking to unify Islington nest under firmer and more disciplined rule. He seeks to clean up their besmirched reputation within the city, and hopefully gain their seat back on the Night Council. He believes that vampires should not be ashamed of what they are, but they should be respectful of it as well. *Although neutral with most factions, he had help from the fae and Hillingdon to kill Raymond and thus he would care and be a little angry should one of his vampires turn against them. His wrath is swift – anyone caught turning against him/his rules/his allies will be swiftly cut down.
Notes: Sometimes referred to as JC by the younger crowd, Jean-Claude is very French and very attractive and flamboyant. He runs several businesses in the city though he is most famous for his mostly male-danced strip club Guilty Pleasures. Older vampires will remember that he was essentially his maker's bedslave until a century ago, although it is not something he goes about sharing with everyone.

Diphylleia "Dee" Absin
High Priestess, Circle Daybreak
Treasurer, Night Council
Age: 47
Witch
NPC
Alliances
Supports: Witches, meta humans of all groups

Neutral: Ghosts, werewolves

Against: Fae and vampires since she believes them to be unruly at best and dangerous at worst. Those from Hillingdon Clan who aren't meta humans since they're more nuisance than help in her opinion.
Goals
Despite once being accused of having too much sympathy for witches practising dark magic, she remains committed to Circle Daybreak and wishes to expand their territories in the south of London. Hopes to establish more communication with the other supernatural communities outside of England to build support with and for them. Her goals basically focus on maintaining peace and cooperation.
Notes: Friends and colleagues call her "Dee". Though she sides with her often and is a bit of a yes woman to her, she's hesitant of Sylvia Redbright's strong approach to dark magic due to seeing it as causing dangerous friction among witches who should help each other, not fight. She was Vice President of the Night Council until December 2015, when she was ousted for sympathizing too much with Circle Midnight. In August 2016, she was reinstated as Treasurer but the role was later demoted to make way for the new Vampire Representative in January 2017.

Nora Shannon
Head of Catholic Witches in London Society, Circle Daybreak
Age: 46
Witch
NPC
Alliances
Supports: Circle Daybreak, Night Council, Redbright Institute

Neutral: Ghosts, Shapeshifters, Fae in general

Against: Hillingdon Clan, Islington Nest, East End Pack
Goals
Nora believes in working together through official channels (hence not being here for Hillingdon) to better all people regardless of their talents. More importantly, however, she wants to bring Catholicism into the supernatural world and bring back ties to old faiths. Despite "reconciling" her faith and her magic, part of her still sees werewolves and vampires as abominations from the devil (sorry guys!) who have no right to exist and more importantly no right to turn others. She intends to oppose them at every step and curb their right to further their factions.
Notes: Nora is a sweet motherly type who is very devoted to her faith, not in a pushy way but in a way that shows that she obviously cares about it and that she feels her life has been saved by her relationship to it. She was elected as Witch Representative in May 2016, beating previous Rep Gilbert Norrell in suspicious circumstances. (Though Nora herself was not aware that the vote had been rigged.) On 2nd May 2017, she stepped down as Witch Representative after experiencing visions that indicated the current Mother of Witches, Samantha Okeke, should take on the role.

Katherine Moore
Alpha, East End Pack
Age: 39
Werewolf
NPC
Alliances
Supports: East End Pack

Neutral: Witches, Hillingdon, Meta Humans, Shapeshifters, Fae, Ghosts

Against: Vampires
Goals
-Train the younger werewolves to be more ready for an organised fight
-Get revenge on the vampires for taking territories that belonged to East End Pack through any means necessary
-Get back East End Pack's former territories and more
-Make a clear show of force to anyone who might think them weak again
-Grow the pack
Notes: She hates vampires enough to encourage their deaths, whether the vampire in question is aggressive towards East End or not and is particularly wary of anyone who openly supports vampires in any way. She is actively trying to rally the pack behind this mentality.

Sylvia Redbright
Chancellor, Redbright Institute
Hanwell Coven Leader, Circle Daybreak
Age: 60
Witch
Alliances
Supports: Circle Daybreak, Redbright Institute

Neutral: Shapeshifters, Night Council

Against: Seelie/Unseelie Court, vampires, werewolves
Goals
• Make the Redbright Institute a safe haven for all supernatural species
• Extend the Redbright safe zone to the north of London
• Take over disputed territories and make them peaceful
• Avoid pissing off the vampires unless they get aggressive
• Eventually, negotiate with the vampires and werewolves to broker a peace agreement
• Stamp out dark magic completely
Notes: More information here and here. Since February 2017 her feelings about Circle Daybreak have started to become mixed, as the new Mother of Witches has taken the faction in a direction she does not approve of (namely, using summoning magic to recruit fae). As of June 2017, her twenty-plus years as President of the Night Council have come to an end following allegations of corruption that became known as the Millicent Scandal.

Alexandrie Belrose
Dean, Redbright Institute
Age: 65
Witch
NPC
Alliances
Supports: Redbright Institute, Night Council, Circle Daybreak

Neutral: She "loves" everyone, so to speak. The Institute is welcoming to everyone who wants to learn, though thanks to Night Council support, she is wary against werewolves and vampires. But if they want to enrol, then hell.

Against: No one, technically.
Goals
To extend the Outreach program into more territories.
Notes: Super French all the way to her personality; students and staff thinks she's a little off sometimes. Has a record of flipping around students' notes as a prank and changing the teachers' PowerPoints to opera Youtube videos that no one can even understand. She also uses potions to give herself a younger appearance, making her look late 40/early 50s instead.

Faolan O'Neill
Head of Hillingdon Clan
Guardian, Night Council
Age: 30
Meta Human
NPC
Alliances
Supports: Hillingdon Clan

Neutral: Pretty much everyone.

Against: Islington Nest
Goals
Hillingdon Clan has been lacking in organization for a long time, up until Faolan found himself suddenly in charge of them. He would like to make them a more unified group, have the more experienced take a more established role in training the newbie hunters, and strengthen their sense of identity within the underground world.
Notes: Faolan attempted to keep his Night Council work secret until he was exposed during the 2016 election. He has done some previous spy work for Sylvia besides, and under oath must report back to her about any security threats. Overall however he would prefer to keep Hillingdon neutral and elevate it to a position of greater importance (and respect).

Quercus, The Oak King
Faery King, Seelie Court
Age: 2,700
Fae
NPC
Alliances
Supports: Fae, primarily Seelie but those Unseelies are okay. Eh.

Neutral: Basically everyone except for fae. He just doesn't care that much; everyone is either fae or those losers who aren't fae. He's probably had a meta human kid or two, but he doesn't care about them, either. What a great father figure.

Against: N/A
Goals
He's more of a glory hound than the Faery Queen; enjoys a good hunt or conquest or two because really, what are you going to do after a couple thousand years or so without getting super bored? Actually, that's a pretty important motivation for him: staving off boredom, because even the contests with the Unseelie get kind of tiring after a while.
Notes: Seems more outwardly easygoing than the Queen, but much more likely to bring down the wrath if anyone tries to wriggle out of a deal with him. Tell him a good story and show some respect, and you'll probably be fine. Probably...

Merilineth, Queen of the Green Wood
Faery Queen, Seelie Court
Age: 6,000
Fae
NPC
Alliances
Supports: • Fae, Seelie fae first and foremost
• May have dealings with ghosts
• May have dalliances or bestow favours on humans
• May have a meta human child or two. Who's counting?

Neutral: • East End Pack. Werewolves are kind of hilarious, but they're also dangerous and smelly, so it's a wash.
• Witches

Against: • Thinks vampires are basically gross vermin.
• Night Council. Wow, how dare they not invite her to their party? Not that she'd go, but still.
• Circle Daybreak. See above.
Goals
She's a card-carrying Seelie Court member. Art, music, nature, beauty, all that jazz. She doesn't particularly care about goings-on in the human world as a general rule, because Faery is better and so are the fae. Her first and foremost goal is counterbalancing the Unseelie Court and making sure no one disrespects her. I mean, her court and the fae in general.
Notes: Regal, cool in manner, very High Queen. Right down to her manner of wrath if anyone truly angers her. Truly considers herself the embodiment of summer – simultaneously capable of warmth and scorching the earth.

Cernunnos, King of The Evergreen
Faery King, Unseelie Court
Age: 3,000
Fae
NPC
Alliances
Supports: Unseelie Court, Seelie Court

Neutral: Vampires, werewolves, meta humans, ghosts

Against: Mostly just not pleased with his people being enslaved, human pollution, the systematic destruction of his forest lands in the human realm and hunting of creatures to extinction. So he has problems with witches currently though doesn't feel hostile toward them, and he's severely annoyed with humanity.
Goals
Cernunnos's goals are as much balance between the courts as it is trying to keep the natural order in place. He is, in effect, a forest figure and a protector of animals.
Notes: Cernunnos cares more for animals than people. He enjoys joining hunting with the Seelie King, he is built large and his physical strength matches his vast magical strength. While he is generally genial, when angered, the sky rumbles with thunder and the earth shakes before him. He stays out of court politics unless absolutely necessary but he does enjoy gathering with his fellow fae and he takes the phrase 'eat, drink and be merry' to heart. He has horns like a stag in full Unseelie form and appears to have evergreen plants like holly and pine growing in his hair and beard.

Rhoswen, Queen of Frozen Waters
Faery Queen, Unseelie Court
Age: 1,500
Fae
NPC
Alliances
Supports: Unseelie Court and to a much lesser degree the Seelie Court.

Neutral: East End Pack, Hillingdon Clan

Against: Islington Nest. There was an incident.
Goals
To preserve the balance between the courts. She doesn't care at all what is going on in the human world beyond toying with a meta human or witch here and there and isn't terribly concerned about ways closing. She can be fickle and flirty in court functions or disappear after a brief appearance in a fit of pique. She has been somewhat depressed ever since the incident with her vampire lover and has left a good deal of the formalities to the Winter King.
Notes: Rhoswen is playful but as temperamental as a child. She's actually quite vain, more so than most fae. In fact it is quite possibly why her vampire ex-lover is buried in ice. He fell in love with someone else. Rhoswen likes to collect pretty things. That includes people and animals. She doesn't kill them but does have a bad habit of enslaving them. She uses crystal collars that make the wearer do her bidding. Three favours and you are hers.

Abigail Widdowson (IN EXILE)
Maiden of Witches, formerly of Circle Midnight
Age: 20
Witch
NPC
Alliances
Supports: Islington Nest, Unseelie & Seelie Courts

Neutral: East End Pack, Hillingdon Clan

Against: Circle Daybreak, Redbright Institute
Goals
Abigail's greatest goal now is to gain a seat on the Night Council for Circle Midnight, so their interests can be equally represented. She also wants to claim more territory and expand the area where Circle Midnight witches are safe. Abigail was exiled from London in September 2016, putting an end to her political ambitions in the city. She is technically still Maiden of Witches, but who knows how long that will last...
Notes: Abigail was coerced into a non-aggression pact with Sylvia Redbright and forced to name all the known Midnight witches. To say that this has put strain on her opinion of Sylvia would be an understatement. In August 2016, she made a formal alliance with Raymond Harris of the Islington Nest, joining his rival Night Council. In September 2016 she was arrested and exiled from the city, putting an end to Circle Midnight.

Millicent (RIP)
Was: Vampire Representative, Night Council
Duchess of London Central, Islington Nest
Age: 1,539
Vampire
NPC
Alliances
Supports: Islington Nest, Night Council, Redbright Institute

Neutral: Witches, shapeshifters

Against: East End Pack, Hillingdon Clan, fae
Goals
To expand Islington's power and territories. She seeks to use Islington's immunity from hunting to its fullest advantage as they recruit new blood into the nest. She'll do whatever it takes to achieve these goals, including throwing lesser vampires to the mercy of the other factions if that's what it takes. Millicent was assassinated on 28th May 2016 by a werewolf from the East End Pack, putting an abrupt end to her long reign as the most powerful vampire in London.
Notes: A very old vampire, her vanity is matched only by her sharp intelligence and fierce temper. She often make "pets" of both humans and vampires that she'll keep for a few years until growing bored and casting them aside. Assassinated 28th May 2016. She was then replaced by Raymond Harris.

Raymond Harris (RIP)
Was: Other Mayor of London
Duke of London Central, Islington Nest
Age: 312
Vampire
NPC
Alliances
Supports: Islington Nest

Neutral: Fae, Redbright Institute

Against: Shapeshifters, Hillingdon Clan, East End Pack, Circle Daybreak, Night Council
Goals
Raymond is a bloodthirsty, violent sort. Outwardly, he'll seek to help Islington gain more territories and push those he's against into as little space as possible. Privately, he's seeking to cause as much chaos as he can through letting the vampires run wild. Raymond's bloodthirsty behaviour finally got the better of him on the night of Halloween 2016, when members of his own Nest turned against him and he was assassinated by Jean-Claude.
Notes: He's completely unstable and other vampires wonder how he's lasted this long without being staked. At the same time, he's got a fantastic mind for politics, which is how he's risen this far in the first place. He came into power at the beginning of June 2016 following the assassination of the previous Islington leader by an East End werewolf. At the end of July 2016, he was ejected from the Night Council. Assassinated 31st October 2016. He was then replaced by Jean-Claude.
